It’s hard to believe that 2012 has come to an end. This year was life changing for me. In the summer, I finally quit my full time day job as a secretary at PNC, in order to focus on photography. It was a huge and scary step, but I am confident that I made the right decision. I can’t remember the last time I felt this happy and satisfied with my life. Since I was working full time, I didn’t have many weddings booked this year, so I assisted and second shot for five other wedding photographers. That was a great experience, and I learned lots of new things. I am excited about what the future holds and I am working on building my photography business and making it even more successful. Thank you to all of my clients for your support. I truly enjoy capturing your memories and I hope to work with all of you again in 2013!
Here are some of my favorite portraits from 2012. I was going to choose just 10, but it was impossible to narrow it down that much.
From the Spring, an anniversary portrait of Ashlea & Jordy at Navy Pier (such a fun couple!)
From Lauren’s Spring Senior Portrait Session:
LOVE LOVE LOVE this portrait of Julie and Eric from their pregnancy session!
Beautiful daughter of the Ramirez Family – Session at Deep River County Park:
Natasha and Matt Engagement/Family session at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Perfect sunset, big waves, Chicago skyline in the background – we got very lucky!
I did a lot of newborn sessions this year, I really love doing them now. This is baby Ethan asleep, but still posing perfect with the tie:
Baby Caleb. The weather was warm enough to take a few of his newborn portraits outdoors.
Baby Samuel. His parents had this cute basket in his nursery, it worked perfectly!
Baby Hailey! She is the largest newborn I have photographed to date – 10lbs 6 oz. I was determined to use this little carriage though and luckily she fit!
Three of Cameron’s Senior portraits. I loved this location!
One of my faves from Cody’s Senior Portrait Session in Chesterton.
A few candid portraits I took of the bride. This was a wedding I second shot with It’s Bliss Photography.
My favorite from Stephanie & Kevin’s Engagement/Save the Date session at Taltree Arboretum.
The DeLaney brothers were so cute. I love this one in the tree. I’ve taken lots of photos in this tree, but these boys were so excited when I said they could climb it!
I love how these three head shots I took of them came out too.
My youngest daughter Emily, before the Homecoming Dance. Her first formal High School Dance.
Me with my daughters. I LOVE this for many reasons.
Baby Ethan in his little elf costume for his first Christmas portrait session. So cute!
Baby Samuel for his first Christmas portrait session. Just 3 months old.
Christine and Justin. Save the Date/Engagement session at the Christmas Tree farm! I had a lot of favorites from this session!
